Saxophone Program: June 9-23, 2018

Private Lessons: at least one 55-minute private coaching/lesson with Christopher Creviston. Additional coachings/lessons possible, schedule permitting.
Performance: two guaranteed performances on MMF’s chamber music programs, or in the American Modern Orchestra (AMO).
Chamber Music: participation and coachings in various saxophone chamber groups — duos, trios, sextets, etc. Pre-formed ensembles will also have the opportunity to play in additional groups.
Recordings: all concerts audio and video recorded. Audio files available to all participants by the end of July each summer, as well as links to videos posted on the MMF YouTube Channel which can be freely shared and embedded.
Masterclasses: attend and participate in at least two masterclasses, in which saxophonists play repertoire and/or excerpts, coached by Christopher Creviston. These are closed to the institute community and general population. Note that more masterclasses will likely be added, schedule permitting.
Seminars: attend a seminar by Christopher Creviston and other seminars by other faculty members as time permits. See Institute Events for a list of seminars and other Institute events.
Concerto Competition: option to apply for our MMF Concerto Competition. Two winners will be chosen each season to perform a concerto with orchestra during the following season.
All-Access Pass: one all-access pass to all concerts and applicable Institute Events at the festival.
Welcome Party, Opening and Closing night parties!
Room and Board Includes:
Scholarships, Work Study, and Resident Advisor (RA) positions are available.Those awarded a work study or RA position will be required to attend the festival a day early for orientation. All three options may be selected during the application process.
