Grace Law, Administrative Assistant

Grace Law is passionate about expanding modern music repertoire in and outside of concert.  Performing and assisting at the Mostly Modern Festival in its inaugural season, Grace worked with leading musicians, composers, and conductors in contemporary music as well as performed extensively as a soloist, chamber, and orchestral musician. Graduating magna cum laude for her Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Purchase College Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Dr. Tara O’ Connor, Grace will be pursuing a Performer's Certificate at Purchase while also serving as the Orchestra Manager and Librarian, Graduate Teaching Assistant of Flute, GA to the Coordinator of Classical Division, and GA to Music Administration. Formerly, she was the Assistant to the Orchestra Manager and Librarian for the Purchase Symphony and the Undergraduate Assistant to the Coordinator of Classical Division. Her studies at Purchase have led her to make her solo debut with the Purchase Symphony, and perform with the Camerata Baroque Orchestra, and New Music and Sinfonietta Ensembles. Her accomplishments include winning the 1st Grand Prizes from the FLUTISSIMO! Young Artist Competition in 2017, the Purchase Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition in 2016, and receiving honors from the South Carolina Flute Society. She has also participated in numerous summer festival programs including; Idyllwild Arts Symphony and Chamber Music Festival, Miami Music Festival, Sewanee Summer Music Festival, Flutissimo Summer Flute Workshop, and the Baylor Flute Seminar. Masterclass performance highlights include those with Jeanne Baxtresser, Robert Langevin, Marianne Gedigian, Lorna McGhee, Keith Underwood, Bonita Boyd, Mimi Stillman, and Mercedes Smith.
