Rohan Chander is a composer, pianist, and tabla player from Rhode Island who’s now studying music composition at New York University. As president of NYU’s Composer’s Collective, Rohan has been active in organizing and producing concerts for emerging composers, most notably assuming the role of artistic director for NYU’s premier new music festival Pulsing & Shaking. Outside of the university, Rohan has been actively involved with Manhattan Camerata, Mostly Modern Projects, the Wet Ink Ensemble, and is now cultivating a new concert series dedicated to promoting works of young composition students from across New York City. In addition, Rohan has a love for cooking, hip hop, and jazz piano. He is incredibly grateful to the Mostly Modern family and is for all the support they give to new music.
