TUITION INCLUDES:
MMF Institute—
Conduct Mostly Modern Orchestra (MMO) rehearsals and readings, and conduct the American Modern Ensemble (AME) in a public concert.
Two conductors will be chosen to conduct/perform with MMO, one each week.
Group masterclasses and private seminars with Conducting Faculty.
All-access pass to everything at the festival.
An archival audio WAV file and a link to a three-camera-shot video of your AME performance(s) via the Mostly Modern Projects YouTube channel. Conductors chosen for the public performances of the Orchestral Readings works will receive a WAV file and video link for that as well.
Welcome Party, Opening and Closing night parties!
Room And Board (Full Session)—
Room for three weeks in either Wiecking Hall or Kimball Hall, single room occupancy.
Three meals a day at Skidmore College Dining Hall. Click here to view pics and a detailed description.
Scholarships, Work Study, and Resident Advisor (RA) positions are available. All three options may be selected during the application process. The conductor who is awarded a fellowship will be required to assist with the opera production: take notes, communicate with composers, listen for balance, and work with our faculty conductor.
