The Companion & Mostly Modern Arias

  • Arthur Zankel Music Center 815 North Broadway Saratoga Springs, NY, 12866 United States (map)

The program opens with cherished modern arias of the 20th/21st century.

After intermission, get ready for THE COMPANION, a comic opera set in the future. Not so far in the future, Maya (soprano) lives with her android lover named Joe (tenor). This interactive programmed Companion looks and sounds human—only better. Still, Maya wants more complexity from Joe. She has technician Dax (baritone) come by to install new experimental software, with surprising results.

Watch/listen to the arias here (courtesy of Nashville Opera)

Wine, Beer & Snack Bar opens @ 2 PM. $6 Drinks make this the best deal in Saratoga Springs!
