Hana Beloglavec, Trombone
Trombonist and pedagogue Hana Beloglavec has a dynamic career performing as a soloist and orchestral musician and teaching at Florida State University. As a soloist, Beloglavec has performed as a guest artist soloist at the Busan Maru International Music Festival in South Korea, the International Women’s Brass Conference, and the American Trombone Workshop. Her debut album, Bayou Home, was released in 2023 by Summit Records.
Also deeply interested in orchestral music, Beloglavec is the principal trombonist with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, and has performed as a substitute trombonist with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, The Florida Orchestra, Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the Chicago-based early-music ensemble Music of the Baroque.
Hana Beloglavec received her DMA from Northwestern University, where she studied with Professors Michael Mulcahy, Douglas Wright, Timothy Higgins, Randall Hawes, and Christopher Davis. She completed her MM degree at Yale University and her BM degree at Western Michigan University, where she studied with Professor Scott Hartman and Dr. Steve Wolfingbarger, respectively. Hana Beloglavec is an assistant professor at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, where she teaches trombone.
