Swiftly Decoding the Score: Learning Contemporary Piano Music Quickly, Efficiently and Thoroughly (90 minutes)
In real world scenarios, musicians performing contemporary music sometimes receive piano scores for ensemble music—and even, occasionally, solo music—uncomfortably close to the first rehearsal or performance dates. This necessitates adopting an efficient method for learning sometimes very difficult piano scores quickly, which can be accomplished via techniques of segmentation, “tempo testing”, and well-developed sight-reading facility.
