The first half of the program opens with beloved & cherished modern arias of the 20th/21st century. After intermission, get ready for THE COMPANION, a comic opera set in the future for Soprano, Baritone and Tenor.

Our final concert of the season concludes with the American Modern Orchestra, featuring upstate New York’s Rochester Philharmonic conductor, Ward Stare. Violinist Bradley Adam Bascon, winner of Mostly Modern’s 1st concerto competition, will perform Korngold’s violin concerto.
We start off the program with Robert Paterson’s Dark Mountains. Mostly Modern’s ‘winner’ of our orchestra reading will have its premiere, and we end the season with John Adam’s iconic Harmonielehre.

Tenor, Alok Kumar, who made his debut with the Metropolitan Opera this past season, joins American Modern Ensemble, with Robert Paterson’s Spring Songs, which he premiered at Carnegie Weill Hall in 2018. Chamber ‘hits’ from the festival will also be featured as ‘best of’ our 2019 season.
